Lighthouse Garden – Warren S Golde Gateway Garden
The Warren S Golde Gateway Garden is located in the middle of Kings Highway at the entrance to Lewes. It is one of the largest (planted area) that LIB maintains. It was dedicated to our LIB founder, Warren Golde in 2020 by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA). The DRBA owns the property that Gateway is located on and allows LIB to plant and maintain a garden there.
The Lighthouse Garden is located directly across the vehicle turn lane into Lewes from Gateway on Kings Highway. It is also owned by the DRBA. The roadway from Gateway to the Lewes ferry Terminal is owned and maintained by the DRBA.
Both gardens do not have any fixed provision for parking a vehicle. The gardens are usually viewed from vehicles going or coming to Lewes.
